Yes
D-Lite 4 ordered today from digital depot, arriving tomorrow.

LET THERE BE LIGHT.

Just arrived, wow, that was fast service.

I will try and give a detailed set up time from out of the box to up and running.

Watch this space.

Ok. Both lights set up in 30 mins. The hardest part to put together was getting the metal rod supports in place for the softboxes. I have just watched the dvd that came with the kit and I was doing it wrong..doh!

Anyway that aside, they are of a good quality build and the stands are very sturdy, would have been nice to have air damped ones though. The modelling light gives off much more light than I expected and the proportional part looks to accurate enough for my amateur status.

The cooling fans on the mkII version seem to be a great addition.

I fired both lights simultaneously via the sync lead to my 30D and it works a treat. I then tried to fire them via my 580exII and that also fired them perfectly.

Recycling times were brilliant. (I have not taken a photo of anything worth while to show but I will post something later.

These cost £459.00 incuding next day delivery and I am very pleased with the service from Digital Depot. http://www.digitaldepot.co.uk/index.html?osCsid=k0aa684jgr29odnm6s89ame842

Now all I need are some willing volunteers to try them out. The mrs is at work, the nipper is at nursery but it is bin day so look out binmen you might be dragged inside........................

So what comes with the kit then, just a soft box and two lights?

you get 2 lights, 2 stands, 2 diff size soft boxes, 2 power leads and 2 sync leads, and a bag for the lights, a sep bag for the stands and a nice cardboard box:). you dont get reflectors or umbrellas, they about £90 on top(if you can find them in stock)

Well here is a shot of my over photographed daughter.

This was shot with one light from above left at about 30 deg.

I think the light has done a great job of reproducing the colours of her dress and hair. Even the leather sofa is the correct colour.

This was taken with one large window also shedding some light but is about 4 metres away but with failing light.

As for the D-lite kit I will give it 9 out of 10.

Things I think would improve it are possibly 1 reflector/umbrella and better instructions.

The two carry bags are tiny but as this is a 'Lite' kit I suppose they are just right.

I had no trouble repacking everthing back into them which us men usually find this impossible to do.

If you want to spend some money on a light kit I would definately give these my support.

And Digital Depot are £50 cheaper than anywhere else at the moment and they were great for me in my phone conversations.

I will do some product shots later in the week for you.

thanks for reading.
