Ok, well first is first. I have made the decision that due to some upcoming weddings I'm planning on doing and also the fact I do a lot of motorsport events I need two bodies. I currently have a 350d which has helped me learn my trade and I have taken some good images photos with it. That said though I feel its time to upgrade. My plan is to get 2x30d bodies. main reasons for this are they are much better built and ore rugged, able to take the knocks better than my 350d. I really like the larger better quality screen, can easily tell if the image is sharp on the 30d screen whereas its a lot harder to do so on the 350d. Also the option for spot metering im sure will come in handy as well and the larger brighter viewfinder.

Now the next thing is I was considering my lens options with regard to the upcoming weddings and thinking that the only suitable lens I have is the 24-105L. I was looking at adding the 70-200 F2.8 L IS but after reading reviews im thinking it maybe a bit heavy and was thinking the 70-200 F4 IS maybe a better option??!!

So with regard to what i have written so far, im really looking for a bit of advice on weather you think i am making the correct decisions or if there is anything you would change or do differently? Im going to be ordering the kit from kerso as he says he supplies a uk invoice with the cameras so they should be covered under uk canon warrenty and the fact he has provided me with awesome service int he past :)

Be interested to know if the bodies are definitely covered by canon UK. I thought I'd read before that Ian covered them himself.

I'll leave the kit choice help to others that do weddings!

The f 2.8 is a solid bit of kit but it's not unusably heavy. If your budget will alow that's the one I'd go for. Also because it will team up really well with a 2x converter and give you a very useful 400 f5.6 for your motorsport work.

If you do end up deciding that the f4 makes more financial sense then you won't be at all dissapointed in the quality and you'll still get a good 280 f5.6 with a 1.4x converter.
