New imac........sexy!

Makes me wish I had a Mac computer now. :( I love that keyboard its sooo sleek, if only it was black.

That's my new office machine!

Very nice it is too :)

Cheers,
James

I have one, Phoned up and ordered the day the new one was released. It's great, oh and much better than my pc I've just upgraded from. Aperture loaded and works great. I can go out, shoot RAW, load into aperture and email jpg to my agency straight away.

Mac's are very attractive machines I have to say. I love my Macbook, and will soon be upgrading to a MacPro :)

Maybe an E40 first though.... ;);)

They look fantastic! They'll burn through anything you throw at them! The only problem? You can't calibrate the display!

Now I don't know if this is true, but it's a rumour I spotted over on a thread on POTN. Can someone verify this?

I would very much doubt that is true. The apple built in screen calibrator is great, easily found in the system preferences and it controls many aspects of screen calibration.

By the way, what's with that small enter (the one above the shift key)?
I hate that with any keyboard, and those with big enters are sort of difficult to get nowadays, at least from the better manufacturers.

That is a US layout keyboard though. On UK ones the | \ key is next to the ' " and the enter key is tall and thin, like an upside down 'L' instead.

The other differences with the UK layout are:
* the ` ~ key in the top left corner is an extra key next to the 'Z' key, making the left shift key smaller.
* the top left key instead does a section mark, or a 'plus-minus' symbol when shifted.
* shift-3 is the pound (£) sign.
* the euro (€) symbol is drawn on the '2' key where it is accessed as Option-2
* there is no hash (#) symbol on a UK keyboard but is accessed as Option-3
* 'tab', 'caps lock', 'shift', 'option', 'page up', 'page down', 'home', and 'end' keys have symbols instead of words, while 'control' reads 'ctrl' and 'command' has 'cmd' as well as the symbol.

Michael.
