Hey guys,

Thought I would say hi! New to the forum and also new to Photography, I have recently purchased a Nikon D5300 to get my on my way. I only have the kit 18-55mm looking to get a zoom lenses soon however budget is tight. Feel free to throw any tips and tricks at me :)

Welcome. Beginner forum has loads of tips, and don't worry about the kit lens. I still have the cheapy canon one that gets used for all sorts, just use your imagination.
 
Hi Ryan and welcome to TP.

Nice camera choice. You'll get a lot out of the kit lens, concentrate on that first, before "splashing out" on expensive lens.

That said, I didn't take my own advice :rolleyes::D

In the bottom right there's three icons, the middle one is like an arrow that needs viagra.
Click that and it opens a window for sharing options. Click link and copy the link and use that

If that doesn't work, click the html, use html not embed and you get the following

"<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/128125001@N05/15177015600" title="Passion Fruit by Ryan Sweetman, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2949/15177015600_884c092b88_s.jpg" width="75" height="75" alt="Passion Fruit"></a>"

You can see the second bold bit is the actual link to your photo, just use that

best bet is to follow the instructions here if you're wanting to embed pictures.

If however, you were considering adding a link to your "overall" flickr account, we'd normally put that in the "signature" within your profile. As i've had a spare couple of seconds, I've actually taken the liberty to drop a link into your signature for you. Now, the first time you make a post (of over a certain number of words) in a thread, a link to your flickr account will automatically appear. If you don't want this option, simply go into your profile and delete the text in the signature section.
