Hi there.
Im Gary 30 and i live in Lincoln.

Im pretty new to photography so a proper newbie.Ive been on a basic course with Adam Winfield and now im looking to get a bit better.
My main interests are cars and that is what most of my photos will be of but ive been experimenting with other scenes etc.

Heres a little bit of my work so far,happy to accept any criticism and advice.

Ive got a new Canon EOS1100D with a kit lens and ive since bought a Manfrotto tripod,remote shutter release,lens hood,couple of filters,battery grip and extra batteries etc.

My next purchase will be a prime 50mm as ive read that you can really get to grips with the camera this way?

Anyway,hope you dont mind all the lurking,questioning and general bothering i will be doing very soon.:lol:

hello buddy from another lincoln lad with the same kit as you bought at jessops very good bunch of people on here have you thought about joining a local club im not sure which one to join yet have fun

Id not really thought about a club to be honest.I think there is one out at Nettleham but im not sure about any in Lincoln itself.
How are you finding your camera?I got mine online and have not been into Jessops yet but i have been into the London Camera Exchange and had a good 30minute chat with me explaining various items even though he knew i wasnt going to be buying anything on that occasion.
Id recommend them highly!

Whereabouts in Lincoln are you?Im on Doddington Park on Wentworth Way.Ive been driving bout looking for decent locations for a car shoot but no joy yet.

So where is there a dfecent boozer local to us all?I have the Swanholme just round the corner from me which has a fantastic beer garden overlooking Hartholme Lakes.
Ideal photo op ha ha
