I've been reading this forum for a while now, so I thought I'd say hello. A few weeks ago I finally took the plunge and bought my very first DSLR (a canon 550d) and I absolutely love it. I really enjoy taking close ups and playing around with depth of field which is something I couldn't do with my old p&s.
To get the most out of my camera (and me) I've also signed up for a beginner's course which has already helped me a lot with taking better pictures but I'm sure I've still got plenty of questions left when the course is finished, so I hope you'll bear with me.
