I've just seen on a C1 Tech face-ache group that C1 will include Pano Stitch and HDR Merge as of December this year. This is really good news for C1 users and something that plenty of people have been asking for, for a long time (Pano Stitch is something that I really miss by using C1 - not so much the HDR Merge ability).

I'm sure that this may well intice some LR users across to C1 as time goes on - the team at C1 are really building a fantastic PP application.

Really pleased to hear that, it will make it an all in one editing solution for me!

Indeed, same for me. All we need now is focus stacking :D (y) (y)

Really good news. A shame they didn't get to it before wasting loads of time on the new (pointless) social features.

Capture One Live (I grant that I didn't describe them very well :))

Capture One Live:
Ah, But that isn't a social feature, it’s a commercial one asked for by professional photographers. It's an extension of Tethering and Pilot where you are working closely with your clients, art directors etc and need their feedback.

Much more efficient to do this direct from Capture One, and avoid uploading to a third party website and then manually transfer the feedback into Capture One. It will come at an additional cost, so I suspect it will only be subscribed to by professionals who need it. I came across enthusiastic comments about it when it was first announced.

For the type of professional photographer likely to use this, it will be far more useful than HDR and stitching, which can easily be done, with reasonable efficiency, by round tripping to Photoshop (or Affinity Photo, rather less efficiently), when necessary.

Thanks for the information - you're far more clued up on this than I am (y)

I'm happier about the stitching, as I don't want to have to fork out for other software - then again, I expect I'll rarely use it
