New Car Stereo

Time to change the good old car radio. Looking for the one with a CD player playing multiple formats, USB slot, MP3 player port and throwing in a Bluetooth would be sweet.
Budget 60-100 pounds.
Brands - Usual suspects - Sony, Pioneer, JVC

Any advice?
 
Are you in a rush? The Aldi ones when they get them in are great value for money.
 
Go to caraudiosecurity.com

Select Bluetooth car stereos. With the exception of mutant, I'd happily go with any of the others (having checked they actually come with bluetooth and aren't "bluetooth ready").

EDIT: I might also avoid front-mounted USB ports if possible. I once had a stereo with a front USB port and I had a USB stick plugged in. Forgot it was there a little later when I went to turn the volume down and bent the usb stick.

These are good value for money stereos.
 
The front port usb stick ones are fine. You can get tiny usb sticks that barely stick out from the fascia.

I have one that I use with a kenwood. The kenwood is ok but the on/off button is temperamental so I couldn't recommend it. Sometimes it just decides it won't switch on so I have to detach the fascia and reset the stupid thing. Happens regularly. The unit was only about £60 and I think Halfords were doing them for £40 recently. Cheap as chips and play AAC files from a usb stick which not all of them do.
 
I didn't know people still used this format of replaceable car radios. How quaint! Takes me back to the seventies :D

I never saw a 7" touch screen system in a 70's car ........:thinking:

Oh yes, there are still some of us out there who don't want the tripe that manufacturers install in a vague hope their customers will upgrade to the premium audio to avoid...

There's a Sonichi one that Halfords do, that I put in both of our cars at home - DAB, Bluetooth, USB.....the works. Think it's about £130 including the DAB kit.
