I think by the time we have speculated about a new or improved technology, the technology has leapt forward again, it seems to be moving that fast.
This I think is part of the reason for the massive 7D update, that and to keep it distinct from the 650D which has a lot of features that have trickled down from the 7D & 5D, in fact apart from build I cant see a lot making someone wanting to buy a 60D over the 650D.
It wouldn't surprise me to see a 7D2 next year with the APS-H sensor in composite format to give the video focusing benefits recently seen with the 650D to take advantage of the stepper motored lenses, better noise handling, the ISO extended even further etc.
I think either a replacement for the 60D or a firmware update to unlock features that where omitted on the 60D such as micro focus adjustment are likely, the 60D in some ways hasn't lived up to the pedigree of the previous models.
I'm not sure about a replacement for the 650D, there is scope with a firmware update to enable more features and the 1100D would be the more likely candidate for an upgrade IMHO.
Maybe using a 15MP sensor, better video, larger rear screen or a multi angle rear screen
