New camera

Congratulations!
Apart from making you a very worried happy man (and since I am totally ignorant
when it comes to DX gear), in two words, what does the upgrade bring you?

Hi Kodiak , The d3300 was ok , but didn't really challenge me , however the d7200 is a lot more challenging but initial results seem to give a lot better image quality.

Oops...you may never get the chance to post here again!

And I missed the bit about two words!

Nah! …I think you got it just right:
challenge + a lot better image quality = 2
Have a good time!

She may never know , bless her, she just thinks it's a black boxy thing that I take out with me when I go for walks!

Your wife doesn't know, Robert. That is good, really, really good unless of course, she is a member on here and, ....... you don't know.

Dave

Are you sure she doesn't think the black boxy thing is you, Robert?:)

Dave

You've got it all wrong. You should have educated your other half.

My wife has bought me my last two cameras (albeit with mainly my money), but she's happy, I'm happy, and she doesn't think I have been out spending mysteriously large sums of money when the statement comes.

She's already aware of Nikon's 2016 offerings too :)

In the meanwhile, good luck with the divorce proceedings.........;)

lol my mate used to be sneaky when he brought a new radio controlled plane he`d use the same colour scheme on each one so his wife thought it was the same one

Welcome to the D7200 club! I came from a D7000 and have never used a D3300 but I'm sure you must be loving the increased features! I'm so glad that my girlfriend doesn't have any problem with me buying whatever equipment I want...It's my money after all :D She just thinks I'm stupid...but I can take that!

:) Nice one ! I was seriously considering buying a D7200 and TBH it would have been a cheaper option.
As I have invested in a complete new system :runaway: And at some fair expense.
Think I might now have to put some of my Nikon and Canon systems up for sale :(
