new battery by car from China

Hopefully the battery itself is not also a toy ;)

Nice :D

I ordered a TV signal booster recently and what came was a lovely 6 person fondue set. In one of those black plastic bags and an extensively damaged box.

came with 80 percent charge and worked ok in camera Nikon en-el15a battery

Haha nice surprise. I’m wondering if it might of been a way of trying to circumvent the rules on posting batteries.

Imagine it’s because they aren’t allowed to ship batteries now. Was probably so it wasn’t picked up on the scanner on the way into the u.k as they would just destroy it.

Or to evade tax and was sent as a toy.

Free lambo though, nice!

An old ruse, my mum used to send cartons of 200 cigs to her sister enclosed in toys for her kids, when we were in Hong Kong in the 1960s/70s. Also sometimes in the diplomatic bag.

It's to circumvent rules about posting batteries - They can be posted if they're installed in a device and the package is labelled, but they can't be sent by themselves.

I work for an electronics manufacturing company, and quite often we need to send a whole shipment of our devices with batteries installed to our overseas locations, just so they can remove the batteries and send the empty devices back to us. It's a joke.
