New Ball Head Advice Needed.

Got a Manfrotto 055MF4 and wanted to buy a suitable ball head for it. Any wise words please.

What's your budget?

Followed by, how much weight does it have to support?

Budget: 45-60 quids
Weight handling: Canon 350D body attached to Canon 70-200 IS or Canon 300mm.

Possibly the Manfrotto 486 or 488 series with or without quick release.

486 good for 6 kilos and 488 good for 8 kilos. Both appear to be within your budget.

I don't have them but someone might have real life experience of them. My weapon of choice is the Kirk BH1 but I think maybe that's overkill for you.
