What I'v heard tends to suggest its just a cosmetic change so I'm not sure how many people are going to bother to re review it.

Agree, from the snippets i've read so far, there doesn't seem much to tempt people to pay £360, when you can get the mk1 for £130 now :shrug:

I bought the MK1 whilst I was in HK and I find it excellent for the money. They tend to be a little soft wide open @ 250mm, but considering the lens cost me 1/4 the price of a new 70-200 F4L I would say the sharpness is very good!

If you buy the mk1 you won't have any complaints

Now if Canon had given it USM and a metal lens mount it would be worth buying at the higher price.

I am sure once stocks of the MKI run out, the price will drop to closer to the current price.
