Wish me luck Have been landed as the "official" photographer at a First Communion Service tomorrow. Have permission from the parents of the 15 eight year olds taking part and allowed to use flash in the church. Issued with special seat up front and allowed to "duck and dive" during the service and have a briefing on who goes where and when. It is like having to get 15 wedding sets!

Luck Wished

we is all thinking of you!

fingers and other appropriate bits crossed

all the best mate im sure you will be fine...

Batteries charged - cards formatted, but the best bit is that my son is keeping my wife well out of the way until it is all over! Usually I get told not to stand up - don't block folks view . . . .

Thankks for all the good wishes, I will let you know how I get on. Sad thing is that we heard that anouth church would not allow any of the families to take pictures on church property - had to wait until the road outside for Child protection!

Good luck! Just remember to take the memory cards with you.... a great trick of mine is to leave them all behind :embarrassed:

Mission accomplished!

About 190 images and shown my daughter-in-law the "uncut" pics on a slideshow on the laptop and she is over the moon! So far after 160 mile round trip have processed about 30 and working my way through. Problem is that very few look as if they have to be binned and will be of interest to one of the 15 families. 4gig card covered it and batteries in flash still fine!

A quick couple - neeless to say - my Grandson.

Time for coffee and puff and then back to it!

Eyes went processing far too many images as trying to get something to keep 15 families happy. My son has set up a web site for the parents to view if anyone is interested in seeing what mistakes I made. Church was fairly dark and kids do not stay still so I opted to move to iso 800 and forgot to change as had to rush out ahead of the masses to get group shot with the Priest!
