Neewer F100 with Nik D750

Ok, so for the past few weeks i have been using a large monitor plugged into my D750 for macro photography, it works well with the exception that its a little to big. So i have purchased a Neewer F100 Field Monitor, which i cannot get it to work with my D750.
I just cannot get a live view up on the F100 monitor.. Although I can take a photo and play back on neewer, but it shows up in BW. I have tried the neewer on a dvd player and it works fine. So I am thinking i must have some settings wrongly set, even though i have viewed some online clips of the setup. But its not working for me.
Anyone have the same setup or can throw some advice as to what i am doing wrong ?

I've been using the same set up with no problems. There's a video/HDMI setting in the camera you have to alter. I'll have a look later and find out what it is.

The black and white thing is a monitor setting.

In camera I have SETUP MENU > HDMI >Output resolution - AUTO, External recording control - OFF, Device Control - OFF

Thanks you Ed very helpful. I had to change "Divice Control-OFF".
I now have a live view, but its in BW. any ideas please.

EDIT, F4 Focus assist to off and we have colour.
I can take a photo, but unable to take another because its showing the previous image.

EDIT 2, Now in control and appears to be working quite well, just need to get rid of the views of settings to left and bottom.

The monitor shows whatever is on the rear screen. That's the least I've managed to get on the monitor shown in the photo.

Well thanks Ed, would have taken me a life time to work it out so i am very grateful. All working as it should now.
It will be very helpful for my future projects.
