I recently bought a new printer and used several cartridges, though have printed not so much photos. I just want not to waste my money on this.

There is too much controversial info about it. I doubt whether to buy it.

I own several printers - all Epson - and all but one are equipped with continuous ink systems. Provided you use the correct type of ink the results are visually as good as using the original inks cartridges.

The one printer I haven't converted yet is a new Epson Stylus 1400 and that is because it requires removing parts to fit the CISS and that would void the warranty on the printer. Once the warranty is expired then it will be modified too.

If you do a search on here I'm sure you'll find loads of threads about CISS.
 
i too have used CISS and it works wonders, quality is superb although you have to be careful how you store the system etc as leaks can happen and misprints occur if the ink system is not sitting right.
 
had a CIS on my R2400 for 3 years without any problems. I use a fotospeed quill system.

what printer do you have
