Does anyone have any leads on a repairer who can tackle a Rolleiflex 6008 - there seem to be plenty of people prepared to fix the older mechanical Rollei cameras, but the 6008 is complex and full of electronics.

And the fault is, it would seem, electronic - it works perfectly in aperture priority. But turn the dial to select a shutter speed it selects very long speeds - turn the dial to 1/500 and you get a read out saying 1 second - and that's what you get. 1/250th = 2 seconds etc etc.

It's a superb camera and it's a shame to have it sitting in a bag unused. Any leads greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if Miles Whitehead, who is one of the people often recommended on here would do it, but it's worth dropping him an email at mwcamerarepairs@aol.com

Failing that, one of the guys at Real Camera Co in Manchester is a big Rolleiflex collector so i would imagine he has some contacts. I cant remember his name though. Might be a good idea to give him a ring on 0161 907 3236

Brian Mickleboro is well known for his Rolleiflex servicing, although I think it might only be for the older more mechanical models. If you get in touch with him though, even if he doesn't do it himself he might recommend someone who would be competent at it.

Failing that I would try Miles Whitehead as mentioned, but for such a specific and electronically complex camera, I'd try to find a specialist if you can.

Another vote for Brian. He had many years with Rollei. Might be your best bet.
He did a great job on my 'Flex.
