Need some advise re printing..

Got myself an epson r3000.. I am looking to set it up tomorrow and get some prints done, so any advice from those of you that are old hands at this? School boy errors to avoid...

Double profile??? I'm a noob when it comes to colour management and printing.

What programme will you be printing with Photoshop, lightroom other? easier to come up with an answer then.

Well, I prefer Lightroom as it suits my style more BUT I also use photoshop CS too...
