I'm considering a 1d mk3, but i'd really like to be able to have some sort of system with it like my current 1dmk2n.
Basically at the moment i have the * button to engage focus on centre point only and the assist button to engage AF with all points active.
I know you can't do that with the mk3 but i've just read the mk3 manual and theres a custom function to remember an AF point and change to it with the select button on the multi-controller.... but multiple AF points cant be remembered!
Now on the normal selecting an AF point page it says the select button can be used to select centre point and back again, but it's not very clear on this.
Can anyone verify that if i have all af points active, i can press select to instantly have centre point active only... and then press it again to get back to all points active?
Its annoying that canon seems to have reduced the mk3's functionality in this area
