Need help with an unusual photography project!

Hello everyone,

I'm new here! I'm posting about an unusual photography project I need some advice on!

My best friends are getting married in early 2012 and I want to create an album of pictures of people with the message 'Congratulations L&R' (their names) on it.
The basic premise being, we wish them all the love in the world... and the rest of the world does to.
I have asked all my friends for help and now have a few pictures of people holding up a sign with that message on in Israel, Kenya, Egypt, and Canada, but I need lots more! I'm hoping for some real creativity and some unusual things - pics in front of world landmarks, pics written on people hands, in the sand - anywhere!

I was wondering if you could offer me any advice on how to proceed? I was hoping to get lots of pictures but it's not an easy thing to persuade someone to do! And I really want it to be full of people they don't know rather than just our friends.

Can you offer me any advice please? (or help with a pic ;) ?)

Create a facebook page? Seems like the easiest way to do it and people can upload their pics of them doing it to the page so it does all the collation for you :) Could go viral like that bloke that went round the world doing a strange dance...
 
Start a competition here and say that by entering they agree for it to be used in that way ONLY?? :)

Sure many people would help. I've already got a few ideas that would work :)

Facebook would be a good way to start, however, how can you stop them from seeing it? Maybe start a new profile and ban them both from the page. Then ask lots of people to spam it to their friends? What about facebook image size uploads though?
 
good luck with this, it sounds like a very fun project and I'm sure they will love it. Were you wanting random people holding up the signs though, this may look a bit odd imo or were you just wanting the sign in a location with noone holding it?

Another couple of ideas for you. Spaghetti letters (you can do this yourself ) :) and as it is approaching fireworks night maybe sparkler writing somehow, their initials maybe? you would need a few friends to help out but could work really well and would be fun to take . and maybe as it is halloween grab a cheap pumpkin and cut out their initials?
