I know nothing about this :(

Situation is we took on a rescue dog for a woman who has cancer. She's coming to see it tomorrow and I want to give her a dvd she can use in a normal player.

The avi file is too big for a dvd and I've used convert to dvd in winAVI video converter.

Fine but it's created a main dvd directory with two sub directories, one audio and one video. Do I burn the sub directories to the disk, or the main dvd, or just the files??? Help!!!

What DVD burning program are you using mate?

If you're not using any and just using windows - download the Nero demo from Nero.com

If you are using a proper burning app then you want to create a new DVD video disc and the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS directories are in the root of the drive, the audio one you've got from the converted avi will be empty so you just need to put the files in Video_TS across.

you don't want video_TS inside video_TS, it wants to be in the root, there needs to be an audio_ts and video_ts and then theres loads of vob files in the video directory.

Assuming they are video_ts and audio_ts you only need the contents of video_ts.

In nero or whatever you use start a new video DVD. By default it will have those 2 folders in the 'project' already. Just drag the contents of video_ts on your hdd into the video_ts folder of the project and burn it :)

I could feel someone was typing as I did...just didn't know who :)

Thanks both, its easyCD. I got Nero with a dvd player a while ago but it was specific to that burner. When it broke Nero has never worked since :( Never needed it mind you.
