Need an otter help with cloning!

I absolutely love this pic of an Otter that I took.. but that bloody stick covers part of his mouth..
I sort of know how to clone but wouldnt know where to start to keep the mouth looking natural.
have a go by all means but I need to know how it's done

Quick go !

May not be the best way, but I just enlarged, so quite pixeled, and used clone stamp.

hmmm looks great but the section u cloned looks too light..

Just to the left of the twig on his mouth, might help with greater resolution. Was a quick go. You could easily have a lay with the colours and tweak.

It could do with a bit more tidying but not tonight
just source a similar area and stamp with the clone tool I used one with a feathered edge
