Here's what I have at the moment...

Keith and Tracey Fusco are a husband and wife team of photographers based in Shotton Colliery, County Durham. Although based in the North East of England, we are prepared to undertake assignments in other parts of the UK, whether it be closer to the client, or in order to take advantage of the scenery in a different location.

We can offer a whole range of photography to suit your needs, such as automobiles, headshots, modelling, location shoots, promotional shots, advertising, band shots, live music, events, parties, child portraiture, weddings etc. If you need it, we can photograph it!

It's not that impressive, tbh, so I'm wanting to make it a lot better. Any tips/ideas? I'm wanting to have a little more writing in too, but not sure what to include. A re-write is more than welcome!

I think on the page with the information, I'll put the things in a list of the photography bits, or bullets? What do you think?

Make it completely off beat like mine, unless you're very serious or targeting just a "serious" crowd

you take in 3rd person then 1st person... :|

That's why I need some help! :D Here's my updated one:

Interesting - but how much of that means anything to a potential client?

Id perhaps start it as......

'We are Keith and Tracey Fusco, a husband and wife team of freelance photographers offering a wide range of affordable photography to suit your every need.'

Dont mean to sound picky but, as is, you still start out talking in the 3rd person and then continue in 1st. ;)

Enough for those that have booked to book. They see your personality, they see your life and history. Granted it's not in the same serious vein as many others but then i'm not the same as everybody. And neither should any of you be.

Also it does explain my history. The page is entitled About Me, not About what I do, or What I offer.

Put some character into it and sell your style, let them buy into your character if it comes out in your work. If they don't get you then fine, they move on. If you want to target a certain crowd then brilliant. My page might be a bit out there, I have considered how to change it, but it suits for now.

A nice plain serious page is good too, choose your weapon. Wisely :)

Also when I said make it completely offbeat like mine, that might have sounded a bit direct. You do what suits you.

Fair enough - and I quite agree about getting your personality across and that you have to find something that works for you and your target - it doesnt quite work for me though.

one point is 'About Me' and then 3rd person. Surely 1st person or 'About Damien' or 'Who is this Damien bloke anyway?' ?

Worth some thought, thanks :) .. I'd like About but it seems wrong. About Damian.. Too long for me top bar I think.

Oh and it's Damian :P

sorry!

I guess I need to worry about lifts/glass/red eyed dogs now?

'This Damian'?

sorry Keith and Tracey - I'll have a think about yours as well. honest.

I think I went with Who? when i first did it. I dunno about worrying mate :) Your comments are welcome.

I think this:

Is generally okay, id just change a few words and shorten that list otherwise you'll overload people with info. Maybe something like this:

Ive just jigged it around a bit but I think it reads reasonably well now. Its also important to consider how your communicating the info - is it for a poster or a website? or maybe a flyer etc etc.

I get top billing on your website? :woot::lol:

I would suggest cutting down the amount of areas you list. I find it quite off putting to see that someone lists that many things and makes the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none" come to mind. Personally I would list a maximum of 5 different types so for example:

Studio/Location Modelling
Automotive
Commercial
Weddings
Music

I thought that too. I see a few pages like that, and I read a bit, then that's it. There was a thing I read before about people listing all their gear on a website for clients, when they have no idea about the gear, but it's just a sort of way to show off. I think it depends on the person, really.

Id perhaps start it as......

Yeah, some one mentioned that previously, but I wasn't sure how to start out as a first person.

It's for a web site mate. IMO, it needs to be perfectly worded, and nailed, but what I had just didn't do it lol. Thanks for the input, I'll look into changing it.

Yeah, I thought that too, but I also want it so people can know the kind of stuff we can provide. As when I go onto sites saying they do weddings, and 'other stuff', I'm not sure what they mean. Could mean anything!

Thanks, sounds good. Now I have to decide which way I shall go!

I agree with the comments about listing too many subjects - jack of all etc. Would you be better describing the style of your photography and then bringing that style to whatever the client wants?

Grockle's suggestion is similar with emphasising the 'On time. On budget. Every time.'; pushing efficient/reliable. I would prefer to put the main emphasis on an artistic or quality measure though.

KT photography bring a modern, stylish approach to your photoshoot. They specialise in an off beat style which brings a quirky interest to your project whatever that may be.

Check the samples; open your mind; see your dreams on the wall.

It's cool daddio.

My view on it is, at least for how I want it.. it's to show who I am, a brief history ideally related to what i do or my growth as an artist. It shows character and personality. It does not aim to sell sell sell. My photos should do that.

Some go the other approach, serious.. the norm... if it works then great. Each approach will you get you a certain client base, or of course none at all
