Ok, been a few times and if the weather is ok, am going to be heading over again next weekend. And it'll be my first time with the camera. I won't bore you with the usual questions, but rather one specific question.

Has anyone taken pics in the batcave?

Is it even possible?

And if so, how do you do it? There's no flash photography, I don't want to spend too long in there (if you've been, you'll know why!), and it's pitch black.

you won't get a decent shot in there, too dark and the bats move about too much for anything with a tripod, take a long lens, the cheetahs have been moved to an enclosure where you can view them from above, there's a new elevated walkway been built that goes right over the top of their enclosure so you don't get any fence in the shots

There's nowt wrong with the batcave, the slight odour fades away after spending a hour or two in there.
HI ISO and quite long exposure times, a bean bag type of thing as there are one or two places you can stand back and rest the camera on.
I never bothered with photos in there as I was happy enough to sit around for ages and have them fly all around you. It's so cool!!!
 
Interesting, two differing opinions :)

wack61 - those look great. I think that section was being built when we were there earlier in the year. Will be good to see it finished. I am guess the then baby giraffe is now a lot bigger? If you've been recently, is there anything we should especially look out for? babies/new etc

Geordi69 - a beanbag! great idea. I really can't be arsed carrying a tripod around, but a beanbag might be useful and easily fit in a bag. Where does one buy such things? Warehouse Express? Jessops?
 
make one there easy to do, it was really easy to put the order in with my mom :p :lol:
