I have a hole in this old vintage computer game. In the battery compartment. I've managed to fix the battery terminal back in place with some plastic weld stuff , so thats rock solid. but i just want to fill the hole in to give it a little more support. I tried some modeller's liquid putty but that didnt dry hard. What can i use to fill the hole in that would dry to solid plastic / acryllic

Could you glue a bit of old credit/bank card over the hole or enlarge/cut the hole and a suitable bit to fill in with a bit under it as a brace?

Speaking from a total lack of knowledge, but could the plastic weld you used for the terminal give the support needed?

Maybe, it does melt plastic though so I don't want to make a mess of it

Epoxy? Maybe glue a bit of clear acryllic across it? Shops that do moddling kits for model aircraft and stuff sell plastcard in various thicknesses. That should be fine, and it's cheap enough too.

I might be possible to build it up using Bondic UV setting glue.

It is quite versatile stuff.

JB Weld Plastic Bonder is the best stuff I have found for most applications. Tape over the opening and set it on a firm surface, and then fill with the bonder... let it cure overnight.
