Need A New Motherboard - Which One?

Following on from this thread.........

Well it would seem I need a new mother board as the one I have is a bit pants.

The thing is I haven't got a clue what to get so I am hoping for a bit of advice from you guys.

My current specs are.

Core i3 CPU

Intel H55 (H55M-S)

Socket 1156.

So what motherboard would be good for those specs? Preferably one that wont break the bank.

I would like to replace the stock cooler as well so recommendations for one of those would be good to.

Oh and what thermal paste to get?

Wouldn't bother with another cooler.

I use Arctic paste.

Take a look at this cooler, more than enough for an i3 and comes with thermal paste pre-applied as well as being damn near silent.

The motherboard is dictated by the socket in use, which you say is a 1156. The H55 is the motherboard chip and won't change.

1156 is last years technology (seriously, last years) so now you have very little choice

Are you sure it's 1156 based socket?
