if you could point me in the right direction thats all i need (well for now)

ps just ignore the clutter

cheers for the help

My first thought was the clone tool in photoshop, , alternatively I think a simple copy and paste job from the surrounding area would cover that up quite nicely too.

Nice kitchen!

Agree with above. select similar to what you want above the doors. Feather Press ctrl J and select move tool and move a plastered piece over the unplastetered piece. Flatten image

With the clone tool you can start with a soft brush and start cloning it out until you get close to the bottom of the hole where theres a straight line, here I would change to a hard brush to keep the edges straight.(using the shift key)

You can also use the marquee tool just above the hole to make a selection of about the same width then use the warp tool and play around that way (edit>transform>warp).

The content-aware might work too if you manage to make a selection around the hole with the lasso or magnetic lasso.

There are other ways of doing this, I just mentioned the ones that popped to mind, I would see which one works best. If you need any help put the img up for download or send it to me and I'll give it a go.

thanks for the help the clone brush seems to give the smoothest cover up

more practice needed
