Right..I just need a little advice on back drops..

I am on a bit of a budget here so wanting some advice/opinions.

I can afford to get either two paper rolls of background paper, one black and one white, or one vinyl backdrop in either black or white.

I know that some of you prefer grey and other colours but my preference are these two colours at the moment.

I am still learning how to properly use my lighting so what should I buy? Eventually my studio will be a mobile studio so this also needs to be considered.

So shall I go for 2 paper or one vinyl and if I go for vinyl what colour would be best to learn with, black or white?

Thanks

My preference would always be for paper, especially as you can get two different ones instead of just one - though to be honest almost anything can be used as a backdrop. For years I did head and shoulders with a painted canvas but also had a few light colours (pink, blue, green) and black paper rolls for full length jobs. In this thread the background material cost 0.82p, weighs next to nothing and can be stuffed in your pocket.

Ok thanks, I have a couple of things that I have been using but need something longer for full length. :)
