I'm after a camera bag :)

Ideally needs to be able to house a canon 70-200 L, plus a couple more smaller lenses 17-70 and a 50mm.

Room for a flashlight (maybe 2) and of course the body.

Any suggestions?

Do you want a conventional bag or a backpack?

What sort of shooting do you do?

I have a Crumpler Zoomiverse which carries a similar volume of stuff with ease but most of the time I use a think-tank belt and harness which makes the kit much more accessible.

I'm open to suggestions at the minute. I don't have a preference either way.

Need quick and easy access.

How do you find the Zoomiverse? Do you find it quite heavy (obviously it'll be heavy full of lenses)

I am looking at the lowepro flipside 300 for my next bag, I have the lowepro 200 sling shot at the mo and it is not big enough for all my gear now.

I'm quite liking the look of the flipside 300, Spike, thanks!

Will have to go and take a look at that one

how do you rate the think tank system, I think I want to buy into it

In answer to the OP's question, the Zoomiverse isn't too heavy and it's fantastically well padded. One of the things I like about Crumpler bags is the security - they are accessed from a panel which sits against your back rather than the 'front' of the pack.

I've never really taken to the Lowe range but that's probably just personal taste. If I was looking for a bag just now I think that Kata, Crumpler and ThinkTank would be on my list to try out.

As for the TT belt/harness system, it's fantastic! Easy to use and ruggedly constructed. I'll post a review later this week of the setup I have.

I have just upgraded from a lowpro aw100 sling to a kata backpack, and the features brilliant, but they are both different types of bags to compare. I use the sling for when walking around and may want to but my camera away alot (with the kids) and when i am out for the day i will take the backpack so i can fit lunch and a tripod (and laptop if i needed it) so i still use both, so depends on what you need it for?
I love the kata though and thinking of getting the sling to replace my lowpro.

i have the standard nikon bg from argos (thik they are £39,99)...

can fit in 2 lenses, camera all leads in the frount 2 zips... back pocket and one inside too - its really good :)

but try ebay... my bags great for now but tbh i could do with a bigger one.

I have a Vertex 100 going cheap if your still looking? Only because I changed up to the 300. Nip in and I'll show you the bag!

Nice one Chris, I'm free for a bit tomorrow, will nip in

lowepro slingshots are supposed to be good.

Hubby bought me one for my "happy old day" and it comes tomorrow. The theory is that I can wear it sort of over my shoulder and across me (like when you get gear out of it) when I'm in my wheelchair and he can carry it normally when needed (or if I'm really good and using my sticks, I can wear it like a backpack).

Will let you know what it's like when it comes

Went for the Lowepro Vertex 100 AW, thanks Chris

Thanks for all the constructive advice, was all very much appreciated :)

Loads of room, got both bodies, lenses and the 580 in and probably will get the mac book in as well.

Glad you like it, served me well until I bought too much!
