Yes
I have a set of Cokin P size ND Grad filters for my DSLR and I want some grads for my Micro 4/3 lenses for landscapes. My feeling is that the transition zone from dark to light on P size might cover too much of the lens and was wondering if I should buy some A size as I guess they will have a narrower transition.

Anyone got any experience? What do you use?

Yes you are correct, the transition on the A size (67mm) is more compressed on the smaller filters when compared to the P size (85mm).
I would imagine the Lee Seven5 system is similar, though not tried them.
I use the Hitech 67 filters in a Cokin A holder on my smaller APS-C lenses which I would think are similar to Micro 4/3 size wise.
The colour cast on the Hitech's I find is much more neutral than Cokin, plus they do a very useful reverse graduated filter if you shoot sunrise/sunset at all.
