ND Filter system advice - 550D/ Sigma 18-250

Hi everyone - first post!

Want to say hi and thanks in advance to anyone that is able to offer any advice wherever possible - as my knowledge grows I shall indeed pay it forward!

Right then...

I've got a Canon 550D and my main lens is a Sigma 18-250 (72mm filter size) although I also use a Canon 10-22 lens (77mm filter size). Im looking for an ND Filter kit that I can use with both.

Am I correct in thinking I could buy a Cokin 77mm holder and a 72mm adapter and use any cokin filter this way? Im a little confused.

Welcome!

There are plenty on threads on filters at the moment. My guy feeling is that the Cokin P filters won't be big enough for the 10mm end. You will probably need to look at 100mm filters.

But you are correct that you would need to buy both 72mm and 77mm filter adapters.
