I have just finished reading an article in the National Geographic about a caving expedition.

Part of the article is contained in this link :

http://www7.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0609/

Page down to the article titled 'Raging Danger' and have a look at the pics. Some of the EXIF info confused me (easily done BTW).

Picture #4 -The special equipment relates to EWA Underwater housings. Has anybody tried these out. I was thinking about using something similar for low down shots in the sea of surfers etc. I guess they must be OK as this guy is risking his Canon 5D!

Picture #5 - The lighting techniques are down as M3 and p25 flashbulbs - what does this mean?

Some pretty great shots in this article.

Cheers,

bob

Any takers? I am still no further forward.

EWA-Marine are the market leader in underwater housings and are the industry standard for this sort of thing.
As to the flashbulbs - do a Google on them and you'll see: it refers to the colour temperature of the bulbs themselves - he's using an old tungsten flash lighting system combined with a newer Quantum electronic flash system.
Hope that helps.
