I've been in the house all day so far, because I was waiting for ANC to deliver a parcel.
I went to the front door to get something from my coat pocket and on the floor was a missed delivery slip from ANC :confused:

Do these people not know how to use a door bell......or even chance knocking on the door with a little more effort than a 5 year old could muster.

I need to make a journey to their depot now tonight before I go out.

Don't even get me on to the subject re DHL & parcel2go....... how these guys keep business going, I'll never know.
 
I suspect its cheaper to pay one chap on a bike to delivery 'Missed delivery' slips and get you to come to them than it is to buy big vans and actually deliver them.....

... or am I not helping?

Didn't you know it's cheaper to employ an imigrant workforce in this country while we pay the chav sector to stay at home producing offspring and seeing how many ASBO's they can acrue before being sent on a safari in kenya.

Back to the topic though.......what are they doing?

Aye, you'd have thought that the car up the drive and the TV on would have given them a clue as to me being in :Ponders:

Still, just been down to the depot and reclaimed what was mine, I aslo asked the manager to give the driver some training on how to perform his task, kind of......ring bell and drop off the flamin package instead of taking it back to where he picked it up from.
 
When I worked for TNT I was 'taught' to basically fill in the cards for the residentials before I get there, and don't even bother attempting delivery, just ring the bell or knock, and 'card' them, as they're never usually in during the day.

Saying that, 95% of the deliveries were businesses, so 5% of home deliveries wasn't that important.
 
Our local postie has putty knuckles too.
I'm waiting for 2 ebay deliveries and I can GUARANTEE I will end up picking them up from the collection centre.

What did I tell you...parcel #1 being collected from the post office before work in the morning.
Maybe it's a letter bomb from the ebayer I just peed off? :confused:
 
My local postie is cute!, she even pulls the wheelie bin up the driveway on a monday morning for me :) not bad at getting the mail through either!

my postman attempts the 'stuff it all through in one go' maneuver one day and the 'deliver it to where-ever the hell i like except the right house' the next.:banghead:

My postie carries a pair of pliers to pull the drawing pin out of the front door and posts my note through the letterbox along with the card
 
ah, you wanna talk to my old man about this. He's a postie so knows all the tricks in the book!

Gone are the days when it used to be the royal mail etc etc etc! Deregulisation blah blah blah! When I was a lad it was all fields around here!

My cute postie just delivered a christmas card (from herself) you'd think after all these years she would know that my name is not spelled that way!!
 
Somehow my house is on my posties first route and my work on his second so if he can't fit it through the letter box and I'm not in (he uses the door bell and bangs on the door) he brings it to me at work :). This does mean everyone at work knows what I buy off ebay including the "secret santa" present I choose.

My postie comes in for a cuppa....I tell him if I'm expecting anything and he keeps an eye open for the items in the sorting office...

This week 2 DVD's, he knocked yesterday he'd got them in double quick time..
