My rules for the Oktoberfest were and indeed still are:

* Shooting with my 50mm prime and my 16-35 at the 16mm end.
* Shoot 5 photos a week
* At least 1 shot a week will use a shutterspeed of at least 1 second.

My get out of jail card is I will freely use other lens if the scene requires. :p

So here we go with my images from week 1.

Not sure I am keen on the shadows in the first shot, really like it otherwise.

The heron is great to be able to capture, just hope it did or didn't bring any unexpected surprises. :)

It was taken in Regent's Park so I guess they are used to people??

It's a dual purpose shot, my local camera club has a competition coming up with the theme of Shadows.

i wondered when you were going to start! And what a start! Great range of shots to show off the 50mm.. loving the steel wool :thumbs:
