I picked up some used kit recently and there's a Manfrotto stand I don't recognise, it looks a lot like a 007 but it's a lot bulkier with a much wider leg spread. I've taken a look through the Manfrotto range and my best guess is it's a model or variant they no longer make but it's probably just one I'm missing. Any ideas on the model?

On another note I wasn't able to take all the equipment so if there's anyone out there near Witham looking for a full blown studio stand and a few other bits I'm sure they'd welcome someone taking it off their hands for a token amount.

Looks nice a sturdy. I have no idea about what model it is.
I am looking for a couple heavy duty stands etc. Although I live in Birmingham, so it's a bit far tbh.

This, Simon, looks surely like the older aluminium version
of the actual steel Heavy Duty Stand #126CSU. I have two
of the steel black studio version #126BSU

I'd ruled that one out because the bottom looks different (there's a larger ring at the bottom of mine) and I couldn't find aluminium versions of the 126 but I think you might be right as it's definitely larger than a 007 or 008.

Seems a shame but I guess most people wanting a stand this big would prefer a steel version as there's not much need to transport such a beast. Could you do me a favour and measure the diameter of the bottom center column please? it's roughly 16mm on mine.

Sure…
Pretty standard with Manfrotto pro stands: 35mm.

Sorry I meant to say it's roughly 16cm on mine, not sure which tube you're referring to but I meant the largest one.

Either way it's probably not much use, I think part of the reason this stand is so big is because it's aluminium. The diameter on my wind up stand is only 1 cm more and that's got a lot more fitted in.
