No
dont know about others but I do a fair bit of online trading both buying and selling , but I totally and utterly refuse to buy from anyone that sends by this total shower of s*** company
item 1 ring flash ordered in feb failed to turn up after waiting for about 5 weeks seller refunded me
item 2 lens sent out with tracking number got as far as a depot then tracking stopped dead after lots of messages over a two week period they finally admitted they had lost the parcel (ie stolen) refund issued by seller
item 3 again lost in the system after 4 weeks refund issued
item 4 amazon return postage paid by amazon CF monopod posted on 24/06/20 still in transit according to tracking been on to amazon they expect they will have it by 09/07/20 WTF is it going to Scotland via turkey or something ...

sorry but gross incompetence makes my blood boil ,total load of tosspots , indeed on my local faceberk group there are daily requests for updates on parcels being delivered by the comedians

this might explain better

Don’t have any trouble with them. The local agent goes out of her way to help. She knows just where to put parcels if we were out.

Was going to say exactly the same thing. Local agent puts their number on local facebook page and you can phone if any issue.

In the last two years:

The last four times I've paid them to pick up something that I've bought, they've failed to turn up. With one exception, each seller gave up waiting and took the parcel to a drop-off point.

I've had nine parcels go missing (only one was my loss - Amazon replaced the others). I have had one item damaged - it was insured, but Hermes refused to pay up.

It's impossible to get in touch with anyone other than by using a useless 'chat' system that is deliberately designed to run you round in circles.

After the last debacle, they will never get my business again. Unfortunately, some suppliers use them (including Amazon), so I'm stuck with getting their deliveries.

My delivery bloke is really good and is very helpful - shame about the rest of the company.

My delivery driver is excellent.

They're all doing it wrong Trevor.

You all have to jump out in front of their cars and force the parcel onto them. It's the only way you can get to talk to one of their representatives :ROFLMAO:

That package would've still been sat by my door, I swear it would.

Jezus.

The world would be a better place if punitive fines were levelled against companies like this. This reminds me of a piece on TV some time ago about airline passengers bags being auctioned off despite the owners being easily identifiable. Until companies doing this feel real pain it'l just keep happening,

That actually sounds pretty good as far as myhermes go so your one of the lucky ones!

They do have an absurdly bad reputation and for good reason.

Unfortunately it’s not the local delivery guys that are the problem ,it’s further back in there system which is the bad point . i know up here we had a really bad local couriers that joined them and took All there bad staff with them

On the less than a handful of Hermes deliveries none have been good. I actively will not buy from a supplier that has them as their sole courier! Can only surmise that individual customer experiences are almost entirely down to 'their' local delivery agent/driver.

On a side/related note.
I bought an item from Amazon and it came in one of their C2 packets......this is designed for use with books, DVD and other similar flatter products. The retail box item inside (EE-1 Dot Sight) was crushed enough to pop the end of the box!

I took issue with this in a Chat......and long story short on this part of the story. Another one was put on order as replacement with the reassurance that it would be packed more appropriately.

But to return the first one, could only be via Hermes......grrr! However, I dropped in this afternoon and discovered that the scanner for the QR code does not like printed versions of the QR.... only it seems on a phone ~ because you can make the code brighter.....the buggers could even design their scanners to include a small led lamp that turns on when you need to scan.

I was not going to be beaten, so took s picture of QR and it indeed read it from the camera.

Oh, I was reassured by both Amazon and the guy in the shop that once the QR is scanned and he scans the return label.... Amazon get notification :)

As a precaution because the receipt he gives does not include the tracking number I photographed the label.

..........what a rigmarole :banghead:

Sounds like I did relatively well, with a lens taking just over a week to arrive. :p

Rucksack sent Tuesday arrived Thursday, never had much problem with MyHermes.
Used to be an old couple, now its a Spanish bloke, both very reliable local couriers

as I stated earlier rich and viewing the couple of videos on this thread , its not usually the local delivery agents .. the main problems seem to stem from there sorting hubs .. I can only assume that a lot of money changes hands in those depots for supervisors to look the other way . bit like the London docks of yesteryear or where I worked in my youth at Covent Garden thieving going on on a industrial scale
