hi,

I have only joined this forum recently but I'm liking what I'm seeing already.

Thought i'd post my website as well if someone wants to check out what i've been upto.

Only had my Canon400D for 6months so I'm still very much a beginner but I know my ISO from my apertures lol.

Please not that some galleries on the website use fancy flash. I was just experimenting with different styles.

Some nice pics there!!

Like the Flash on the site. Gives it a more unique feel. Some *** wont like it, I'm sure, but I do.

The galleries aren't working for me.

Win XP and firefox if that helps
 
the top frame on some of the gallery pages is a little small as it has the scroll bar on the left. not a big fan of the gallery sub menu etc.

the postcard gallery is not to my liking as clutters the images, just out of interest why didnt you use simpleviewer instead?

try and match up the colours as well on the front page and the galleries - makes it look part of the website and not just an add-on!
 
The gallery page had me confused for a bit, i thought i was taken out of the site for a second, the sudden change is a little disorientating, not to mention some are white, some are grey background too. You should keep it uniformed. Why not have thumbnail links to the albums instead of text?

And its best to have a contact form rather than outlook loading up, some people don't have outlook or it isn't set up in their pc, at which point they need to copy and paste the address into a web email client. It's the unnecessary steps that you don't want, even thou its not your fault that they haven't set it up.

I'm not sure how to make a webform for email either. Bear with me here.

I might end up using simple viewer or something along those lines. The white background is very distracting I know

I used simple viewer, used images to link to the galleries. I finally completed the draft of my site last night!

so should be up by month end (on holiday for a week and got other commitments)
