I just finished putting together a little website so I can put some pictures on there etc.

Its not complete by any means, all of the links for my film work dont work and there are no real decent pics that will be up there in the final version, maybe...

Im interested to see if the format is ok, if it actually works fast enough and there are no really annoying things.

Yes I think it's getting there - couple of points...

You really need to do a spell/grammar check and look out for inconsistencies, even at a quick glance I noted

Provously, and w on, with some sentences having a full-stop others not

I found the text actually unclear and would prefer it without the gradient or whatever it is

Most annoying by far were the shutter and film wind on noises, even clicking 'sound off' didn't stop them and if I was looking through a good number of images it'd be really really annoying

That said, I know it's very much work in progress - and I like the general look, feel & speed of it

Nice site, apart from the above points make sure you specify a correct <title></title> otherwise google etc are never going to index you correctly. Since you're using flash you're not going to be able to optimize it for search engine at all, so just <title>Richard Grebby Photography</title> would do :)
 
Nice site - have you done the flash work yourself?

You are severly limiting the number of visitors to your site by making it flash only - i didn't notice an HTML alternative. This as two major problems - 1) as Dave pointed out no search engine optimisation, and also 2) only users with major browsers supporting flash will view the site - in this day and age a lot of mobile users (BlackBerry, Smart Phones etc) could potentially miss out.

This is not strictly true, you can optimise flash sites, its just trickier.
 
Works well for me.

One small gripe. If you click on "services" you cannot easily clear the fly-out after you have finished or wish to navigate elsewhere. The only way I could get rid of it was to click on your mast.

The layout is good, I agree with what others say but my main gripe is the text you use to describe the contents etc of each page...ie the About page or services. The bold text for the heading is ok but the smaller text I can hardly read, I have to lean forward from my chair to the monitor to read it and even then it's a strain. Folk like me would just move on quickly to another site. Good luck with it.
 
i really like the feel of the site. I think you need sections for the pics when you get it built up more, but otherwise big thumbs up.
Jealous of the style actually lol.
