My top tech for 2014...

Amazon Fire TV. Cheap, small and upgrades us to the world of Internet TV and films.

I was close to putting my chrome cast into the top 5 as that's also a cool bit of kit but it doesn't bring as many features like others I guess.

Can I count my 5S as i only upgraded this time last year so only really started using it properly from Jan onwards?

If so, my 5S 64Gb. Great battery, loads of storage for daily train commute (although now switched back to car), loads of games, camera is pretty much the only one i used all year. to name a few reasons.

Some of my favourites were purchased the year before yet had a lot more use this year :). The iPhone 5s is a great phone and the cameras always get great reviews even though they've kept 8mp for a while. Don't blame you for getting the 64gb though as they double up as a great MP3 player also.

indeed. my only gripe is the lack of portable headphone amps that run on line out because of the lightning connector.

used to have a Fiio for my 4S to run my Sennheiser HD25-II from the 30 pin connector. the 5S built in amp is a little lackluster to run those, the soundmagic E10 buds are great with it however.

My Sony Z2 definitely counts especially the audio quality from the sony noise cancelling headphones.

Put 2 trackers on 2 new vans which proved a member of staff was using it for his own gain and making up his time sheet.
Managed to save a whole drivers salary. Which means I can spread it around the other drivers.

On a personal note I still love my Sonos system.

And my D810
