Its been a mad mad week. My frog photos have been featured in 7 newspapers and numerous online news sites. Today ITVnews tracked me down and interviewed me, they will run it 3-4 times tomorrow on the news, in the south west region

I cant believe my luck

I hope it leads to some sales.

Its all very surreal

Its all down to having such a wonderful supportive, encoraging network of friends and family, helping me push through the days when Im bad with M.E. Thankyou so much to all of my friends on here

PLEASE tell me that is already a huge amount of sales!!! It should already be hundreds of pounds worth. What other kind of sales are you expecting??

It would take you years to sell enough prints to equal what that kind of exposure us worth.

You would think so, but Ive not recieved a penny yet.
I am waiting for the media company involved to work out the financial side of it all ;) No idea what I will get. But then could I want for much better publicity?
Ive been negotiating with BBC for 2 days as they want o run a slideshow of 6 images , Ive no idea of what the going rate is for this sort of use is:cuckoo::thinking: To be honest I have little idea on the whole financial side of photography as I simply started it as a hobby ;)

wow congrats, i wish you all the best in your new found fame :D

Trust me the publicity is worth nothing at all - the only thing that counts is the size of the cheque. You will get no work/recommendations from this publicity - or any you do get will be very short lived. Don't be conned - this sort of exposure is worth a lot of money. You won't get instant payment - just so long as the payments are in the pipeline - you should be seeing someing in a month. Phone the papers and make sure they have your details - some may want invoices from you - others may be self billing - where they just pay at their rates. However make sure everyone understands that there is no publication without a fee.

Great shot is post 1 BTW!

Tell the company you want at least 60% of sales, one picture alone is worth average of £100 in a national newspaper.Dont know what a slideshow would work out at but again I wouldnt go below £100. Publicity doesnt pay bills.

Amazing pics nonethless.

Edit If you need advice on fees/payments PM me.I submit to newspapers on a daily basis.

sorry - missed that bit - quite probably - but the OP should just make sure.

Ah just seen the "negotiating with BBC for 2 days" Angie will need an invoice for that as it seem she did her own negotiating negotiating with BBC and ITV news, not the media company (bet they weren't to pleased being cut out of the deal, and did her own negotiating with BBC and ITV news, after their hard work getting her noticed in the first place )

Congratulations, hope it works out well for you. Sometimes appreciation of work is more important than the money, but if the media are making use of it make sure you get a nice cheque :)

Loved the interview well done Angie, nice to see another reptile keeper on here :)

Great picture, hope you remember us all when you're rich and famous.

Fantastic photo and well done on all the exposure.

How did all the papers and TV become so interested in it? I mean, how did they all come to know about it?

Media company contacted Angie, got the images published,in 7 newspapers, then the ball rolled on to the TV who contacted Angie
