My Photo 52 Week 2 History

Hi all,

I have chosen the first shot for my entry because I think it is better suited for this weeks theme, but please look at the second shot too coz I just really like it.

I like the second one best..

the first on looks a bit flat and you lost the top of the flag pole...

Nice shots, I think the first one could do with a slightly wider aperature as like Spartacus said, the image is a bit flat.

I like the second one though! Nice colours.

I prefer the first one.

There is something about the foreground and the large cross being darker and the church behind it being lighter which makes me keep going back to it. The flag pole is a minor distraction and I'd have cloned it out but overall it's an attractive and unusual take on the church/churchyard theme.

Look forward to seeing week 3's image.

I'm gonna side with Jean on this, I prefer the first. Losing the top of the flagpole is minor, maybe a bit more contrast, but overall, it's more interesting. There's something about the way the light washes those angles of the rooves, offset with the shadowed cross in the foreground gives me a more interesting feel.

I'll go with #2 I like the simplicity of the composition and the colours!

I prefer #2 as I love the texture of the stone cross. My only criticism, and it's a small one is it feels like it needs straightening a little.

I like the second better the detail of the stones texture and the strong colour makes it work for me.

I prefer the 2nd one, not too keen on the processing of the first one. I think if it was in colour, I would prefer that to the 2nd though
