My new web site

Hi Phlodge and welcome to the forum

IN terms of a website it is nice, clean and simple, easy to navigate [though not sure I like the menus moving up and down as mouse rolls over them, gets annoying very quickly] and has some good photographs on there. As a simple portfolio site, it does the job. Personally I would like to see a little more text, you have been to some fascinating places so a little bit of information about why when and how never goes amiss, but that is my personal preference.


Can I suggest you also post a few of your pictures in the photo feedback section too, I think people would like to see them and offer comment/critique :thumbs:

Just had a look at your site. The far east pictures are great, I especially liked the Bangkok and Vietnam ones. I think that the site just comes over as too simple. The plain white background isn't a favourite of mine. I agree with Yvonne about some more text. I would have been nice to know what I want looking at. I also agree that the menu system isn't all that good - maybe areas horizontally across the top above your main image and as the pointer goes over the area the countries etc dropping downwards.
 
Agree about the whack-a-mole navigation. On the home page the text below the photo bumps right up to the edge of the photo - needs some whitespace between them. The typography is a bit dull as the same font seems to be used throughout the site. Consider using a different font for the headings and menu labels maybe.
