After months of deliberation I finally ordered some new kit and the last of it arrived this morning, the body.

Took a lot of shopping around, ended up buying each item from different places. Tried to order it all from Digital Rev but that was quite a painful process so I ended up going to SRS, Jessops and HDEW.

Sorry, this isn't bragging, I'm just SO CHUFFED with it all :clap: :clap: :clap:

The 50mm is the 1.8. I'm seeing how I get on with it as I was more interested in the 85mm 1.8 but I went a bit over budget :nono:

Hey they made a mistake with your order they sent you nikon stuff ... :lol: .....ok seriously get out there and enjoy the stuff as with the weather the way it is there is no excuse for not clicking away .....

Yes, dealing with DigitalRev has been quite painfull for me too!

Nice set you've got yourself there :thumbs: Just wish I could afford some new gear at the moment. But much like others work isn't great and there isn't a lot of spare cash :bonk:
 
This thread reminds me of when I last went into Dale Photographic in Leeds. Walked in to find the counter sprawled with Nikon gold boxes, a newly retired police inspector splashing out. Spent well over 10k in cash!

Nice gear anyway, I wish Nikon had a cheaper (older!) FF body that I could afford!

I got my D700 and MB-D10 yesterday from HDEW too.

Fantastic bit of kit. The low light capabilities are amazing!!

That does look a top notch set up, something I'd give my left nipple - or any part of my anatomy - for.

HDEW were great. Had to wait a week until it was available but the price they charged was well worth the wait.

I agree. I had to wait a week too, I orderd on the 5th. They were always helpful on the telephone and email when I got in contact. Their price was too good to ignore.
