My My Mamiya

Recently noticed since replacing the batteries in the Mamiya that it only works when you put (quite a bit) of pressure on the compartment door. I tried using insulating tape and even silver sided gaffa but nothing seems to put enough pressure on the compartment to keep it closed (and thus work)

Suggestions on a postcard please! Even with my new acquisition of an EOS 300D(digitial) I still can't wait to run some film through the Mamiya. Such a fantastic lens on the front (I think )

how about a aluminum foil crumpled up on the battery end and then a gaffer tape to close it

small round neodymium magnets are very handy for adding a bit of length to batteries (good for bodging incorrect sized batteries in to kit), easy to swap over when you change batteries and the strong magnets stay put well.
