So my mum loves Scrabble, computer scrabble that is.
I look after her PC and now W10 is all installed PC Scrabble seems to have died.

I have suggested maybe a tablet so she can wander around and scrabble at her leisure.

any thoughts?

Not sure if it'll load to a tablet ( I don't have one) but Words With Friends is great if she has a smart phone.

I have Scrabble on my Samsung 10.1 and it works fine. :)

The downside is that you need wifi connected to play ... which I didn't realise before getting on the plane! :D

Words with friends is ok but needs a wifi link to play with others
You can pay for scrabble on tablets

Hav you tried running the app in compatability mode. If it worked before it should work that way under windows 10. If you right click the icon, you should be able to find the option 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'

the version she has will not run but I might try other version.
mainly looking for a portable option, cheap ipad looks good.

The old Nintendo DS had a version or two made for it.
You could probably pick up a pocket/handbag scrabble setup for £15-25, if that would be suitable?

My scrabble was free and the ads are not too bad.

Why pay through the nose for an ipad? My Samsung was half the price and there are many other cheaper options which would be just as good for your Mum.
