Hi Chaps (and Chap'esses)

Don't think I'm breaking any rules with this as I'm not advertising anything per'se but I thought I'd let you know about my new little site that you may or may not find helpful as car lovers.

http://www.mymanmaths.com

The about page kinda gives you the whole story but cut a long story short if you are hankering after your next automative purchase then you might find it helpful (or not). Totally free BTW, I just get asked for the tool a lot so I thought I'd stick it up on the interweb for everyone to play with.

Looks great. Must have a proper look later - I have been brought back to earth by a spreadsheet a good few times now... :D

Cheers. Yeah the figures can be bent but they rarely lie. I've changed car 5 times in the last year and each time the calculator was responsible for some of the excitement because of the ease of playing with the figures, but then ultimately responsible for some of the sales when it clearly pointed out I was spending too much! If you're slightly geeky then it's good fun, but cars are an expensive game unfortunately.

Thanks for the feedback on here and via the site. It seems people are finding it useful after all which is nice. If you want to be informed of updates etc or like the tools then please feel free to like/follow as you wish:

Keep the suggestions coming in. Thanks again.

I downloaded the car finance calc - I like the layout of the site and spreadsheet.

Look forward to some more tools :)

How about one that shows the difference between buying a phone outright and paying payg vs a 18/24 month contract and only paying a small subsidised amount for the phone.

Or one that proves it is cheaper to buy a gadget, sell it, buy it again, sell it and buy it again vs renting it :)

Thanks for the feedback, appreciated. Some good ideas too. I've got a couple of other tools up my sleeve for later this year that I might release.
