My First YouTube Dollar

You know what, I bet he doesn't get all that much from YouTube in the grand scheme of things. However, he gets a lot of freebies, travel and gets to work with Samsung etc so probably gets paid that way.

Unless of course he's agreed a better deal that 55% from YouTube as an ambassador or something

at the time, it was around 120 hits. But the monitization depends on the number of views (you need a lot just for 1 cent) and also if any of the viewers actually clicked on the adverts (you get more for the clicks obviously).

Apparently you have to earn $100 before any actual payment process can be started.
One of mine has earned about $5 with 4000 views in a month - as above it seems to depend if the surrounding adverts are attractive to whoever views it.
I have a really early upload involving tractors put on about 2008 and it's on close to a million views but no idea why except it's John Deere and appeals to US redneck types(?).
The comments seemed to get ever more aggressive until they seemed on the point of shooting each other - so I disabled them.

Same here, on other channels I have videos with over 100k views, but all of which are from many years ago and before I set up AdSense

Whooooo... Checking my YouTube stats and see that my "First YouTube Dollar" video has already made more money than my NYC one. It's only been up 3 days and just 60 views!

Howdy,

congratulations on your success. If i may ask did you have a plan established when you first created a youtube channel?. I have been thinking of creating one myself, but the beauty and fashion industry is so crowded i do not know where to start. Having seen that you have a successful channel. Are there tips you might be able to give up. And in this rather case, for someone wanting to join an already floodedn market?. Thank you

TBH, no. I've had this channel about 3 or 4 years.. In fact, I have 3 personal channels I believe (due to creating one without realising it, and then again another - both when I got new phones and created Google Accounts lol)....

On the subject of a floodend market, I agree with you there, and I have thought the same - what's the point in doing anything? However, everyone has their own style. I mean, how many GoPro image quality videos must there be, or tips on how to build your own jib, or fly a drone properly. I've just done a couple of watch reviews, just to test the water. I watched a lot of other reviewers and they all have the same boring format - overhead camera, see the watch and the reviewers hands, plain sheet on a table for a back drop. YAWWNNNNN.... So I've gone outdoors and done mine to be a little different. Will the videos take off? Who knows - but it's all part of the fun I guess.
