My canon 450D is on its way... now settings

I have sold my Nikon D40 and a second lens. My plan was to stay with Nikon but I played around with a 450D and in addition to the cash back I could not resist.
I ask about the settings or any advice because that may save me any calibration time:lol: With my D40 I followed Ken Rockwells guide then modified for my personal preferences.

Yes I know I'm been lazy but...

All advice on my new toy is appreciated.

Enjoy your new toy! it took me a while to get mine setup so take pics and see whats most comfortable.

Surely the settings depend on what you're going to be shooting? Or do you mean things in the menu as opposed to shutter speeds etc?
