Hi Guys,

I have been looking through a few of the 52's and 365's, and it seems like a great challenge to help improve your skills.

So, I am going to try my own 52 and see how I get on with it.

I hope you enjoy.

liking the processing in that, good start

Seeing as though I have just sent my 17-55 off for repair, I am now stuck without a lens! I will get back to this when I have my lens back, or when I get my 50mm off my friend.

I received my lens back, but as I have been without a lens for a week, I have decided to turn this into a 52.

Just playing with my flash this week. The images have been PP'ed to give the old burnt out effect.

 Craig.
Really glad to see you in here joining the 52 fun!

I see a common theme starting already here with the processing style and I like it a lot.

No.1 : Good strong composition, very effective DoF and I like the choice of subject matter. On the negative side, I think maybe you could have picked a different time of day for this to minimise that stark angular shadow on the patio (in fact maybe you could have played around with getting the shadow of the line and shoes in somehow????) - I'd also like to have seen that bit of roof poking in on the right cloned out.

No.2 : I like this one a lot. Simple subject matter, but the lighting gives it a real lift. The starburst in the background is a nice detail and the leaves on the road give a feel of time and atmosphere.
This probably wasn't your intention, but the battered bollard combined with the darkness actually reminds me of some sort of gritty driving safety campaign.

No.3 :
What can I say? This just made me smile - absolutely fantastic expressions and really well executed.
If I'm being hypercritical, my only niggle would be that the backgrounds aren't all absolutely consistent in terms of exposure.
