Hi All

I am just looking for any help please

I have recently upgraded to Win 10 and my ATI 4890 card isnt compatible, and no drivers to support it :(

I dont do any gaming at all, all I use my PC for is photo editing and general use.

I use 2 screens and at the moment can even have dual displays (as I have no drivers) and am on a horrible resolution where everything on my 27" IPS looks bloody awful!

I am wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a graphics card to fit my needs?

Something decent that will go with the rest of my fairly high-end build, but I dont do ANY gaming at all, so no need for anything too fancy

Thank you

If you upgraded from Win7, perhaps a Win8 driver will work OK?

Sounds like the igpu will work just fine, maybe even better than the ageing vga?

The HD4XXX series cards aren't supported by AMD/Microsoft for Windows 10 due to "requirements"...

If you start windows update it should find a "courtesy" driver 8.970.100.9001.

Could you try that?

If you do want to replace it at some point, what would your budget be?

What is the rest of your PC specs?

Sorry I don't understand that last post!

I'm 64 bit

Thanks for help :)

Can you use the integrated graphics on your CPU? It may be better than your current graphics card.

I do believe the Windows Update would fix your driver issue, but if it doesn't then the GTX 750 is overkill yes.

Your PC seems good enough to not really need to rely on the cuda/opencl rendering of the gpu.

I would say spend half that and get either..

AMD R7 240

Nvidia GT 730

Both of these are around £50 and would be fine!

Can you link to where? Broken ones go for more than that on eBay.
sorry I sold mine for £40 inc postage not £35. its about the going rate in the OcUK classifieds section.

eBay component prices are fairly inflated. I looked at prices to sell my i7-2600k and they were about 150% higher than forum listings.
